About:
Delivered by one of our associate Mental Health First Aid instructors, this two-day course will support staff to identify, understand and help colleagues who may be experiencing mental ill-health within the workplace. While Mental Health First Aid won't teach you to be a therapist, it will teach you to listen, reassure and respond to the concerns of colleagues, even in a crisis.
Through Mental Health First Aid, you will learn how to...
- Recognise the warning signs of mental ill-health, and develop the skills and confidence to approach and support colleagues while also keeping yourself safe.
- Empower colleagues to access the support they might need for recovery or successful management of symptoms; including self-help books or websites, accessing therapy services through their GP or place of work, online self-referral, support groups, and more.
- Support positive wellbeing and tackle stigma within the workplace and the world around you.
