Offering a safe place to turn for support any time of the day or night, our MINDFUL EMPLOYER+ service provides your staff with access to an independent and completely confidential adviceline to help them get a foothold on life's challenges. How it Works

For as little as £1.00 per person, per year, your staff will gain access to the complete range of support offered through our MINDFUL EMPLOYER+ employee adviceline service. This includes support for work-related stress, depression, marriage and relationship issues, legal concerns, coping with change, parenting issues, financial problems and much more.

Staff calling the adviceline can expect to speak with an experienced advisor who is available to listen to their concerns, identify appropriate support, and help them to take the next steps. There are no limits to when or how often your staff can call the adviceline - with the exception of calls for legal advice or managerial consultancy - and calling the adviceline is free for anyone whose inclusive call minutes include 0300 numbers.

As their employer, you will likely want to measure the impact the service has for your staff. While we do not provide you with exact details of the conversations people have with our advisors, we are able to provide you with general statistics about how many staff have used the service and for what reasons (i.e., wellbeing support or finance advice). Typically, we provide these usage reports on an ad-hoc basis; however, you may request to have automated reports sent to you on a monthly, quarterly, or yearly basis.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • How is MINDFUL EMPLOYER+ different from an Employee Assistance Programme?
    While Employee Assistance Programmes do offer the same or similar adviceline services, the majority also include a range of other services as standard, such as one-to-one counselling or critical incident and trauma support. By cutting back on these additional services, MINDFUL EMPLOYER+ offers your staff access to an independent and confidential adviceline for a significantly reduced rate.

  • Are there any limits to when and how often calls can be made?
    In some ways, yes. Although the employee advceline is available to staff 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, the managerial advceline is only open between the hours of 8:00am and 8:00pm. Furthermore, while there are no limits to the number of calls that can be made to the adviceline, staff seeking legal or tax advice may only call once per legal or tax issue at any given time.
     
  • Is the MINDFUL EMPLOYER+ adviceline available to volunteers and consultants?
    Provided that you are happy to pay a further £1.00 for each additional person you would like to include, MINDFUL EMPLOYER+ can be extended to volunteers, freelance consultants, trustees, or any other persons supporting your business, even if they are not directly employed by the organisation.

  • How are CiC Wellbeing involved with MINDFUL EMPLOYER+?
    CiC Wellbeing are responsible for delivering the MINDFUL EMPLOYER+ adviceline service on behalf of MINDFUL EMPLOYER. With over thirty years of experience and supporting more than 1,000,000 staff across the UK alone, CiC are a leading provider of high-quality wellbeing services.

  • What information does CiC Wellbeing collect and hold?
    Upon joining the service, MINDFUL EMPLOYER will share a copy of your application form with CiC Wellbeing in order to set up and administer the service for the duration of your membership. No other information that MINDFUL EMPLOYER holds about your organisation will be shared with CIC. Calls made to the adviceline will be recorded by CiC and stored securely within their systems. This enables CiC advisors to review their notes and provide further support if required. However, although conversations are recorded, details of each call are kept confidential and are never shared outside of CiC - not even with MINDFUL EMPLOYER. At no point will CiC force anyone to share their personal information with them, including their name. All that is required from the caller is the name of the organisation they work for.

Joining MINDFUL EMPLOYER+

The MINDFUL EMPLOYER+ employee adviceline is an exclusive add-on service for our Charter signatories. In order to join MINDFUL EMPLOYER+, your organisation must have first signed our Charter for Employers Positive About Mental Health. If you have already signed the Charter, then you may apply to join MINDFUL EMPLOYER+ for just £1.00 per person, per year. However, should your organisation already have an Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) in place, then we would recommend that you first check the support provided to your staff through your EAP, as many EAP providers include a similar adviceline service as standard.

Terms and Conditions:

  • To join MINDFUL EMPLOYER+ your organisation must be listed as a Charter signatory.
  • All fees are exclusive of VAT, which is charged at the standard rate.
  • Payments for the service are non-refundable.
  • Only one call per legal issue may be made at any one time.
  • Managerial consultancy is only available between the hours of 8:00am till 8:00pm.

You can choose to join MINDFUL EMPLOYER+ for more than one year at a time, and after joining the service, we will send you a copy of our MINDFUL EMPLOYER+ leaflet and wallet card for each member of staff that you have registered. We will also send you a copy of our e-leaflet and posters to further help you promote the service to your staff.

Since MINDFUL EMPLOYER+ is a non-subscription-based service, we will never assume that you wish to renew your membership without hearing from you first. Therefore, a renewal reminder will be sent to you by email around two months before your service end date. Should we not hear from you at this time, a second reminder will be sent to you by post around a month later. For this reason, it is important that you keep us informed of any changes to the contact details we hold for your organisation to help prevent any gaps in service.
